This is the second half of a rather rare and intimate look at the making of Sade’s Soldier of Love. Sade says, “I didn’t ever want to be a singer, I ended up being a singer.” I’m really amazed to hear her say that because she seems like such a natural-born singer. Yet she continues, “I’ve developed skills I suppose over the years; I’m more capable than I used to be. I’m more able to express what I want to; I’m less limited. I never had the aspiration that a lot of singers had and that’s probably why I’m quiet and in some ways uncomfortable with fame.” Her humble words are bouncing around in my head… ======================= DISCLAIMER: I do not own this video.
